As featured in Who’s Who Special Edition Weddings by Big Day Wedding Expo, I was thrilled to be apart of this beautifully curated wedding shoot hosted in a beautiful industrial building of brick, wood, and shiny metallics known as The Little Brown Jug located right here in the heart of the Exchange District.
If you’re still trying to come up with a few unique ideas for photo locations, Little Brown Jug has everything from great light, a modern yet old character feel, and of course who can forget, locally crafted brew for you and your wedding party after photos – doesn’t get a whole lot better than that. The photographs speak for themselves and highlight the unlimited potential this entire space offers including enough room for an entire wedding party. And my most favourite detail as a photographer, the beautiful dreamy natural light helping me to create the most stunning bridal portraits you see here. Seriously, who would ever in their right mind think amazing bridal shots = brewery backdrop right, am I right?

This will easy go down as one of my favourite weddings for so many reasons. The biggest being that Crystal & Jason are just about the absolute loveliest people you will ever meet. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot not only their wedding but also the weddings of some of the most important people in their lives. Each curated detail of their wedding day held such important meaning to the both of them, and honestly every little detail couldn’t have come together more perfectly.
Jason and Crystal drew their wedding theme and colours of Burgundy, Slate Blue, and Brass as inspiration from their many winery trips to vineyards they visited over the years together. They wanted to incorporate deep burgundy to represent the colour of wine; Crystal’s beautiful Essence of Australia dress featured beautiful rosettes and raw organza in a soft colour called Moscato – as I said, it all couldn’t have been more perfect for their shared love for wine which shone on their wedding day. They subtly incorporated slate blue into their hand dyed muslin table runner and the beautiful raw silk ribbons used for the boutonnieres and bouquets created by the ever so talented Stone House Weddings. During their engagement, Crystal searched many different antique shops and estate sales in search of the various vintage brass pots and goblets to be used as centre pieces.
I absolutely adored capturing all the details of their day especially all the laughter, fun, and love these two shared together and all the love their friends and families have for these two gems of human beings. These two just radiate together and I’ll truly miss seeing them every month lol. So, i’ll just leave this lovely wedding to feat your eyes on and maybe even gather some inspiration from. xo
Easily one of my favourite weddings of all time, this beautiful Elmhurst golf course wedding is not to love. Aside from all the beautiful aesthetics & details brought together by an amazing team of talented local vendors, this bride & groom and their whole wedding party really are some of the sweetest & most memorable individuals I have yet to have in front of my camera. What’s even better, I’ve gotten to see this sweet bride Jessica and hubby for both Maternity photos and Family photos over the last couples of years since they tied the knot. I love seeing my couples grow together and their family after their wedding days. Couples like this who keep in touch and ask me to capture more of their biggest life moments make me pinch myself and ask if this is really what I get to do as a career.
Enjoy Jessica & Steve’s beautiful wedding – all the talented vendors can be found below if you love the style and how everything came together.
