Classic, bright, intimate …. this venue is one of my favourites of them all. This stunning minimalist wedding planned by Melanie Parent Events was the absolute highlight to my 2023 wedding season. Kristen & Connor are one of the sweetest and mindful couples I have ever met. Their main priority along with their overall aesthetic of the day was planned around a really amazing guest experience. I was so pleased to be included on this amazing list of vendors curated by Melanie with the final vendor choices selected by Kristen & Connor.

An exert from Melanie Parent’s blog post about the concept of this beautiful wedding is as follows:

“The reception space was bright and airy, just how the couple wanted it. All the beautiful windows in the space, really helped the vision come to life! We focused on bringing a minimalist garden party vibe to The Pavilion. To bring the outdoors in, we had an amazing greenery installation hanging from the ceiling. This helped create a big impact when guests walked into the room. We opted for a little colour and picked light blue linens and gold chivari chairs to bring the look together!

Kristen and Connor focused heavily on the guest experience. They wanted to make sure that their guests had a great time! This was a small wedding, so we got the opportunity to pull out all the stops. They focused on good food and drinks! This of course meant a signature cocktail was served at cocktail hour! Who doesn’t love and Limoncello Spritz on a hot summer day! Dinner was served family style, which is always a guest favourite. They brought in a coffee cart from De Luca, for the reception. This kept the guests caffeinated and dancing the night away!”

What I love about the pavilion is the incredible light in the venue, the beautiful garden ceremony courtyard, and limitless possibilities for photos within the park making for a seamless day. Kristen & Connor did choose to do a private ceremony at their family residence followed by a first look and pictures at the St. Boniface cathedral, and while this too is an option, it’s also nice to have the option to take all your photos within the park for an extremely relaxed day with beautiful photo option locations.
