I usually try to set a goal for myself which includes being apart of or helping organize a styled shoot at least once or twice a year to keep the creativity flowing during the slower months as well to work with like-minded event planners and other talented vendors in the industry as an amazing way to network with others. Overall a styled shoot day is always a lot of fun – there’s coffee, nibbles, awesome vendors to catch up with, incredible decor, florals and bridal wear, stationary and so much more with absolutely no pressure or strict time restraints like a wedding day sometimes has. The creativity flows freely, lots of laughs and so many beautiful images to swoon over are the result of the many hours of planning-  BUT when your vision board comes to life right before your eyes, its always worth all the organization and hard work in the end, especially for the lead planner who really puts in the efforts to organize all the vendors and bring the shoot to life. Alli Mae Events did exactly that and Deanna of Deer Dutch simply nailed this shoot with her incredible floral installation and pieces for the entire shoot. What made this shoot extra special, was working with our two brides who were absolute naturals together and their cuteness and love for one another was seriously contagious. Aimee de la Lande photography is all about equal love and I’m so happy to finally have had the chance to have two beautiful ladies in front of my camera. Fingers crossed I can work with more lgbt couples in the future because if they’re even half as cute as these two were together … well you can see for yourself.
