st. Charles country club Winter wedding
While our winters might not always boast the most balmy winter temperatures, I can’t speak enough to the beauty that our winters hold and the picturesque backdrop they provide. Had you asked me years ago, do you enjoy winter weddings, I’d say “ummmm yeahhhh, in Mexico or Punta Cana !” Over the years though, I have really come to love and appreciate winter and all that it has to offer and there are so MANY positives that come with choosing a winter wedding. With that being said, I made the decision that somehow I would find a way to have more winter weddings in my future. I am a firm believer that when you put your mind and energy into and idea and set it out to the world, you attract what you want, manifesting if you will? I approached Kayla of Kayla Lagos Weddings & Events to see if she would have any interest in bringing a beautiful winter theme shoot to life and thankfully she was fully on board and took my idea and ran with it.
Before I knew it, Kayla had created the most beautifully curated and thoughtful inspiration board and St. Charles Country Club agreed to host us in their beautiful space.
Fun fact, it took me a VERY long time to love purple after the trend of eggplant and chartreuse left the wedding scene. When Kayla presented me the inspiration package, I was blown away with how beautiful purple can truly be when done so elegantly and tastefully. This entire shoot was an absolute vision, and of course the incredible florals by Lauren at Stonehouse Weddings elevated every part of it.
These images are just a small testament to how beautiful winter weddings can be, and believe it or not, there are a large number of venues that accommodate couples and their winter wedding visions.
